HE WAKA KUAKA is a workplace professional learning & development programme delivered across the Top of the South.

This programme is open to individuals, those that are self-employed, businesses and community organisations. It is designed to fit within regular business hours.

Below are the 2026 10-week intakes:

Term 1: Week commencing 26 January – week ending 3 April

Term 2: Week commencing 20 April – week ending 3 July

Term 3: Week commencing 20 July – week ending 25 September

Term 4: Week commencing 12 October – week ending 18 December

Delivery

Based at various sites around the Central Business Districts

What's Involved

The programme has twelve (12) progressive courses, for beginners and beyond

What to expect

Participants commit to 1 hr/wk x 10 wk of directed group learning with a further 1 hr/wk self directed activities

What time

Learning sessions are oﬀered over several time slots during work hours

Group Size

Limited to no more than 12 people with a minimum number of 10

Blenheim, Nelson, Richmond, Motueka and Takaka

Cost

$280

plus GST per person per course.
Unless registering as an individual, this fee is generally covered by the professional development funding of your organisation. This will be a matter between you and your professional development manager. Upon ﬁnal registration invoices will be issued.
